About Lessons

Have you got the X-factor?
Do you have The Voice?
Or would you just like to learn how to sing for fun?

Singing lessons take place in Hatherleigh and via Zoom, and I teach all ages, beginners to experienced.

I have been teaching singing privately and at Okehampton College since 2005, and more recently at Chulmleigh Community College, Bideford College, West Buckland School, Queen Elizabeth’s School Crediton, St Joseph’s School Launceston, Braunton Academy and Pilton Bluecoat Academy.  I am also Choir Leader at Okehampton Music Centre. I bring over twenty years of experience as a freelance opera and classical singer to the work I do with my students.

I aim to make learning to sing as fun and enjoyable as possible and whether students are interested in working towards exams or just singing for pleasure, I really want them to reach their full potential and discover what their voice can do. I teach a variety of styles, including classical, opera, music theatre, rock, pop and country so there is something for everyone!

Former students have gone on to study music, singing, acting and musical theatre at institutions including Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Birmingham Conservatoire, Durham University, Exeter College, Bath Spa University, University of Chichester, BIMM Bristol, Cardiff University and East 15 Theatre School.

I am a member of AOTOS (Association of Teachers of Singing) and ISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians) and have an enhanced DBS check. I also participate in annual Safeguarding and Prevent training.
